Send Only New Leads and Stop Lead Recycling

Why we built it

A customer recently asked:

“How do we make sure only brand-new inbound leads get claimed, while older contacts stay with their current owner?”

Until now RouterJet knew if a lead had already been claimed by a rule, but it could not filter on how recently the lead appeared. People had to rely on Zapier filters or manual checks. That pain point is gone.


What’s new

Rules now include a flexible is within the last … condition you can attach to any date field in Pipedrive (Created date or any custom date fields, whatever anchors your process).

  • Set it to person created within the last 24 hours if you want a clean “today” bucket.
  • Pick any other number that matches your SLA.
  • Everything outside the window is ignored by that rule, so older leads never jump to a new rep.

Quick start

 

  1. Open an existing rule or create a new one.
  2. In Conditions choose Person → Created date.
  3. Select is within the last and enter the number of hours.
  4. Save. Fresh leads that meet the rest of the rule will now flow exactly where you want.

Practical examples

  • Same-day website sign-ups
    Condition: Created date within last 24 hours
    Result: Only brand-new contacts get assigned.

  • Trial handoff during the first week
    Condition: Created date within last 7 days
    Result: CS sees only fresh trials.

  • Re-engagement sequence for dormant leads
    Condition: Created date not within 30 days (use the opposite rule)
    Result: Cold leads move into nurture while active deals stay put.
